If you have recently purchased a Bluetooth device, it is important that you make sure it is in working order. Testing a Bluetooth device requires easy steps that you can complete in a few minutes.

      Enable your Bluetooth on your computer. If you are using a Mac computer, look in the upper-right corner for a Bluetooth symbol that you can use to turn on your Bluetooth card. Click on the symbol and select to turn Bluetooth on. If you are using a Windows-based computer, you should see a Bluetooth symbol in the lower-left corner of your computer next to your available devices. Click on the Bluetooth symbol and choose to activate it.

      Turn on your Bluetooth printer. Plug in your Bluetooth printer and wait for it to start up. On the front panel of the printer, click on the Bluetooth symbol to activate the Bluetooth card in your printer.

      Print a file. On your computer, click on the Bluetooth symbol again, and this time select the option to set up a Bluetooth device. Your computer will then search for nearby Bluetooth-enabled devices. In a few seconds, your Bluetooth printer should appear in the search window. Select your printer and then click "continue." Your computer will then create a connection with your printer. Open a word document or another printable file and choose to print the file. When the print window opens on your computer, you should see your Bluetooth printer as an available printer. Choose your Bluetooth printer and then click "print." If the Bluetooth devices in your computer and printer are working properly, the file should print within a minute.
