Things You'll Need

  • 2 or more colors of paint
  • Paint roller
  • Paint brush
  • Compass or other circular item

      Paint a base coat on the walls with a roller. Use one color of paint for this coat. Thoroughly cover the walls--two or more coats may be necessary. Let dry.

      Use a compass and a pencil to create dots on the walls. Make the same sized dots or different sized dots, depending on the look you want to create. If you don't have a compass, trace a dinner plate or any other circular object on the walls.

      Color in the polka dots with a paint brush. Use at least one color paint that is different than the base coat color. For added interest, paint the polka dots different colors. Add more than one coat of paint, if necessary.
