1
Remove an old shower faucet and bring it along to the hardware store when purchasing new fixtures. This allows you to get the closest match possible in style, size and general appearance. Choose a new faucet that most closely matches your original.
-
2
Clean the old faucet and polish it for a newer appearance. Apply a solution of white vinegar and salt to the faucet, and scrub it with a rag to remove hard water deposits and other stains. Dry the faucet and then apply a metal polish to it with a soft towel.
