How to Make a Spray Bottle Air Refresher

You can use a basic spray bottle as an air freshener.

If you have children and pets, you know how unwanted and unpleasant odors can develop in your home as a result. Although you can buy air refreshers from any grocery store, they often contain chemical ingredients that aren't healthful to breathe in on a long-term basis. One solution is to make air refreshers using only natural ingredients, such as essential oils and witch hazel. This way, you can keep your house fresh and your family healthy.

Things You'll Need

• Empty spray bottle
• Funnel
• 1/4 cup water
• 1/4 cup witch hazel
• 1 tsp. orange essential oil
• 1 tsp. grapefruit essential oil

Instructions

1. Take off the top of an empty spray bottle.

2. Place a funnel into the opening of the bottle.

3. Pour the water and witch hazel into the bottle through the funnel.

4. Pour the orange and grapefruit essential oils into the bottle through the funnel.

5. Remove the funnel from the bottle. Screw the top back onto it.

6. Shake the bottle well. Spray the refresher on fabrics and into the air to make your rooms smell fresh.
