How to Add the Release Date in iTunes
The tracks in an iTunes library include information about the track. Depending on the source from which you obtained the track, the actual information included may vary. You can adjust this information for a single track or multiple tracks within iTunes and add missing information such as the release date of the album.

Huh? This instruction does not adding the Release Date; it only adds only the Year. The Year field can accept on 4 digits, not a date. Any idea how can we enter or change the information in the Release Date field of a track?
