How Can I Jailbreak & Unlock My Phone Using Just a T-Mobile SIM Card?

Jailbreaking or unlocking your phone with a T-Mobile SIM card will allow you to use your device on the T-Mobile mobile network. Unlocking your phone in this manner requires that your phone have the ability to be unlocked using this method. Not all phones are available for unlocking using a SIM card, or for use on the T-Mobile network. You may not be able to use all the features of the T-Mobile network once your phone is unlocked.

Things You'll Need

• IMEI number for your mobile phone
• Unlock code for your mobile phone

Instructions

1. Remove the back of your mobile phone to expose your battery.

2. Remove the phone's original SIM card.

3. Insert your T-Mobile SIM card.

4. Replace the back cover of the mobile phone.

5. Turn the phone's power "On."

6. Enter the phone's unlock code when prompted to enter your special or subsidary code. You must purchase the phone's unlock code from a third party. (See Resources.) To obtain the phone's unlock code, you must have your IMEI number. After you enter the code, your phone will be unlocked.

Tips & Warnings

• To find your phone's IMEI number, dial "*#06#" and press the "Send" button on your mobile phone.
