How to Make Your Own Lush Face Mask

      Combine three tablespoons of orange juice with half a cup of honey. Apply this mixture to your face and then lay down and rest with your eyes closed for 30 minutes. Remove the facial mask using warm water while gently massaging your face.

      Make an oat and brown sugar scrub that will remove the dead skins cells from your face through a process known as exfoliation. Combine 2 tbsp of ground oats, 2 tsp. of brown sugar, 2 tbsp. of aloe vera and 1 tsp. of lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients until it forms a soft paste. Gently apply the paste to your skin, leave it on for one minute and remove it with warm water.

      Place a bowl of steaming water on a table and add five drops of essential oils and rose petals. Lean your face over the bowl so that it hovers over the surface. Drape a towel over your head to seal the steam in from the bowl. Remain in this position for five minutes. The steam combined with the essential oils will penetrate your skin at a pore level, providing deep cleansing and purification.

When incorporating essential oils into your facial sauna, use an oil that provides the results you are seeking. For example, lavender provides a soothing and calming effect.   • For the facial sauna, do not submerge your face into the boiling hot water. Keep your face close enough to the bowl so that it is comfortably warm. not dangerously hot. You do not want to burn your face with steam, so make adjustments as needed. You can adjust the bowl, the way you are sitting over the bowl or you adjust your towel to let more cool air inside.
