Instructions

1
Cut large, medium and small petals from your coffee filters using your scissors. Your petals do not have to be perfect. Cut petals that are in the same shape as real rose petals.
-
2
Unroll your floral wire, and use wire cutters to snip off wire about every 10 inches. This wire will serve as the stem of the rose.
-
-
3
Cut about 20 strips of floral tape with your scissors. Cut the strips 1 or 2 inches long.
-
4
Roll one of your small petals in a cone shape, and stick a needle through the center. Bend one of your wire stems on the end. Remove the needle, stick the end of the wire through the hole, and bend down the end of the wire about a 1/2 inch.
-
5
Place a piece of floral tape on top of the wire and metal, and wrap it around. Continue adding petals to this base.
-
6
Pinch the petal at the base, place it against the base, and wrap a piece of floral tape around the petal. Continue building the petals around the base, forming a circle of petals.
-
7
Roll a chopstick or thin dowel around the ends of the petals and then gently pull out the chopstick or dowel. This will make the petals curl.
-
8
Paint the roses with water colors. Allow the paper to dry.
