How to Pack for Business
In the world of business, time is money. Nothing eats up more time in your business travels than poor packing. If you are without an essential piece of business clothing, like a belt or pair of shoes, your professional appearance may be compromised. Additionally, poor packing can delay your progress through airport security lines and inspections. Learning how to best pack for business trips keeps your trip hassle-free.

1
Place all of your toiletries into a quart-size plastic bag. The Transportation Safety Administration requires that all toiletry items be placed in a clear bag so that they are grouped and easily scanned. Any container you place in the bag must be 3 ounces or smaller.

2
Use a 22-inch luggage bag for carrying clothes, toiletries and other small hygiene items. You can carry the 22-inch bag onto planes, eliminating the need to wait and waste time in baggage claim areas. Though the 22-inch bag holds fewer clothes than a checked piece of luggage, its capacity should suffice for a short trip.

Place suits in suit bags to avoid wrinkles while traveling. If your business trip is not scheduled to last very long, you can probably subsist with the suit on your back.
-
4
Use smaller travel bags within your luggage to store and organize things like socks, shirts and underwear. If TSA must search your luggage, smaller travel cubes will prevent your clothing from suffering disarray. The added organization capability will also prevent unneeded searching when all you want is a matching sock.

5
Pack your bag lightly or use a light-weight bag to avoid unnecessary strain during travel. When flying, for example, you must lift your bag above your head into an overhead storage bin. If your bag is extremely heavy, you could lose valuable time asking someone to help you take the bag down.
