Join a family tree building site. Family tree building sites, such as Ancestry.com or Family Search, have large databases of family history information, historical information and library records. All of these tools are essential in tracking down lost family members. To join a family tree website, click on one of the links in the resource section.

Enter the family information you already have. If you have any information on any of your relatives you should enter that information into your family tree profile. Include your parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and anyone else you may have information on.

Use your family tree website's database to search for family members. After you have entered your family information into your family tree profile, your family tree website will then search for other family trees that have matching information. If your family tree has matching members in someone else's family tree you can then add that tree as an extension to your tree. Then, by searching the public records and library databases that are available on your family tree website you will hopefully have enough information to locate your relatives in Slovakia.
