How to Create a Gift Registry Card
A gift registry card is a small card, often included with wedding or wedding shower invitations, that lists the places where the bridal couple has registered for gifts. In the age of wedding websites, many gift registry cards simply list a link to the couple's wedding website which has the list of registry stores on it. You can purchase custom made gift registry cards, or you can create your own at home using graphics editing software and a printer.

1
Open your graphic editing software and create a new document. Open a copy of your wedding invitation design for reference in another window, if you have it.
-
2
Create a template for your gift registry card that is at least 2 to 3 inches smaller than your invitation. Most gift registry cards are approximately half the size of the wedding invitation.
-
-
3
Draw a text box and create a heading for your gift registry card, such as "Our Gift Registry" or "(You and Your Spouse's Names) Wedding Gift Registry". Use the same font as on your invitations to keep a feeling of consistency between them.
-
4
Underneath the heading, create a new text box and list the stores where you are registered. Alternatively, if you have a wedding website, place the URL for the site under the heading. You can also include a short note of appreciation to your guests, thanking them for gifting you on your special day.
-
5
Print the gift registration cards out on card stock, cut them to the appropriate size, and include them with your invitations when you mail them out.
