How to Freeze Mario Batali Pizza Dough
Mario Batali is a renowned chef who is featured on various Food Network shows, including Iron Chef. His pizza dough recipe has been posted in many different places online and in cook books, and was even posted on the New York Times' website. If you want to prepare the dough for future use, you can do so by freezing it for up to one month. Things You'll Need
- Yeast
- White wine
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Honey
- All purpose flour
- Towel
- Plastic wrap
- Aluminum foil
- Gallon sized plastic freezer bags
Instructions

Making the Dough

Put 1 1/2 ounces of yeast into a large bowl. Add 3/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of white wine. Mix well.

Add 1 tablespoon each of both honey and olive oil, as well as 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix well.

Gradually add 3 cups of all purpose flour to the bowl. Remove the dough from the bowl and place it on a floured counter.

Knead the dough on the counter for 3 minutes. Rub some olive oil on the inside of the large bowl and return the dough to the bowl.

Cover the dough bowl with a towel and let it rise for 45 minutes.

Separate the dough into two equally sized pieces. Shape each piece into a disk shape for easier thawing.
Freezing the Dough

Wrap the dough disks in plastic wrap and then aluminum foil.

Place the wrapped discs into gallon-sized plastic freezer bags. Squeeze all the air out before sealing them.

Place the bags of dough into the freezer.
