Celebrate the holiday feast in style

Thanksgiving is a yearly holiday event celebrated with families and friends coming together to enjoy some good food and each other's company. Others will say that it is just a waste of time and effort, especially if you have the same guests to your home every year. However, writing these invitations can actually be an easy process and, when received, will get your family members and friends into the festive mood and looking forward to the holiday feast. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Tell your guests an estimated time the Thanksgiving dinner will start. This will allow them to arrive on time and also plan their meals for the rest of the day, as the dinner itself traditionally tends to be quite large.

    • 2

Inform the guests about the nature of the event by telling them how they should show up for the event and what they should expect throughout the day. Tell them if you have any games or activities organized for the day or if you are planning something different like a barbecue or dance party. Guests will want to know if the event will be formal or casual so that they can decide on their attire for the day.

    • 3

Include an address for the location of the venue and directions on how to get there. In addition, your home may be relatively new or some guests may not be familiar with the venue so include a small map and telephone number either on the back or accompanying the invitation so that the guest can make their way there hassle free.

    • 4

Include an RSVP with the invitation. This will allow you to make preparations for the meal in advance by knowing how many people will be attending and how much food to get and cook. Include a separate RSVP card with the invitation if you are hosting a formal event. If it a casual event, write the RSVP details on the actual invitation itself. Include a RSVP date and some contact details.
