How to Design Digital Scrapbooking Kits

Digital scrapbooking materials add flair to an existing scrapbook.

Whether you're making your own customized scrapbook or you're personalizing a book for a friend, you can easily design and create your own digital scrapbooks online. Some websites offer free digital scrapbooking material to use in digital scrapbooks or to print. Materials and supplies for digital scrapbooking are widely available online or in craft stores on CDs as well.

Instructions

1. Open your computer's default Internet browser (one with updated Flash and software for the best performance), such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

2. Visit a digital scrapbooking website to create a customized digital scrapbook. Alternatively, you can also use digital scrapbooking supply websites, which are also free to use and offer downloadable materials. Some websites feature online scrapbook editors that allow you to create and use their materials on their website for free. This makes it easier to create and print your scrapbook, without the need to download or install software.

3. Browse the scrapbooking website's categories for the type of material you need (such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduation or any other kind of celebrations). Alternatively, use the website's search bar if one is available to research more specific keywords for scrapbook materials to print and download.

4. Select the type of digital material that you would like to paste and print for your scrapbook. Once you have chosen the pages to print, go to "File" and "Print" within your Internet Browser. This will prompt you with printing options and settings, such as the number of copies you would like for the specific printable material. Choose "OK" to begin printing the digital scrapbooking material once you enter your details and printing preferences.

5. Cut and paste the scrapbooking material as needed, since the digital documents have now been printed. You can also print the digital scrapbooking material and kits on different sizes and weights of paper, changing the overall look and feel of your scrapbooks.

Tips & Warnings

• Click "File" and "Save Page" to download the page and all of the scrapbooking material to your computer's hard drive. This is generally for more advanced users, but is a helpful tip for saving a massive amount of material at once.
