Sun visors are essential, stock automobile devices used to keep bright light from distracting your view while you drive. Visors are installed on the ceiling of the vehicle's interior, adjacent to the upper rim of the windshield. Instructions

  1. Repairing a Droopy Sun Visor

    • 1

Unscrew sun visor from car ceiling. Most visors are held into place using standard flat or Phillips head screws. Open visor and lay it flat on a table.

    • 2

Pull visor fabric taut, holding excess fabric tight. Apply a layer of fabric glue to the underside perimeter of the excess fabric. Use a standard, permanent, gel-based epoxy whether the fabric is leather, cloth or foam.

    • 3

Fold and press the excess fabric back over the visor. Press the fabric flush with the visor so the glue begins to adhere. Clip clothespins over the excess folded fabric to apply constant pressure until glue dries. Place pins side by side until all folded fabric is clipped. Allow glue one hour to dry.
