Race for Pink Slips in "Car Town"

The Facebook game "Car Town" puts you in charge of your own garage, where you perform services on vehicles. The money you earn is spent on upgrading your own dream cars and racing them against your friends and other opponents. Once a day, you'll receive a race challenge from a computer opponent named Rusty. Occasionally, Rusty will invite you to race for pink slips--that is, ownership of the cars you're racing. You're in no danger of losing your own vehicle, but if you win, Rusty's fully tricked-out race car is yours.

Instructions

    • 1

Earn complete job mastery of a service at your garage to trigger a pink slip challenge from Rusty.

    • 2

Click the "Challenges" button and press the "View" button beneath the icon of Rusty (it will have a gold background when he's challenging you).

    • 3

Press the "Race!" button to accept Rusty's challenge. Select a car from your garage and press the "Go!" button.

    • 4

Press the "Race!" button, then the green "Ready" button to begin the race.

    • 5

Press the green button when the lights count down from yellow to green to accelerate.

    • 6

Press the green button to shift into the next gear just before the needle passes from the gray area of the gauge into the red area. Shift gears three times during the race.

    • 7

Beat Rusty's score to win the pink slip for the car he raced with, which will appear in the storage area of your garage.

Tips & Warnings

  • Click on any empty work bay in your garage to see your available services. Click on the stars above the service to see how many times you've performed that job, and how many more you need for the next mastery level.

  • Obtain a perfect score by shifting gears when the needle hits the dividing line between the gray and red areas of the gauge.

  • You're given 10 opportunities to win Rusty's car. If you fail to win a pink slip race against Rusty in 10 tries, you won't be able to win that particular car, but can trigger another pink slip challenge by mastering another job.

  • If the needle goes into the red area of the gauge, points will be deducted from your score.
