Instructions

    • 1

Wash the bronze tableware in soapy water, scrubbing with a soft kitchen sponge, to remove grease and food particles that may remain on the items.

    • 2

Dry the tableware with a towel and set it aside.

    • 3

Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into a cup or glass. Add 1 tsp. of table salt. Use a fork to stir in white flour until you have a thin, but not runny, paste.

    • 4

Spread this paste over the bronze tableware using a soft cloth. Make sure you get the paste into all crevices of the items.

    • 5

Allow the paste to remain on the tableware for at least 15 minutes and up to 1 hour, as advised by Michigan State University Extension.

    • 6

Rinse off the bronze tableware with warm water from your kitchen faucet. Buff the bronze dry with a soft towel.
