France has a long football (soccer) tradition that dates back many years before its national team lifted the World Cup trophy in 1998. Today, the French football league, known as Ligue 1, is one of Europe's most competitive domestic leagues. Instructions

1. Go to Ligue1.com to find the match schedule.

2. Go to ESPN3.com on the day of a match you would like to watch. ESPN broadcasts two French league football games a week (one on Saturday, one on Monday) in most European countries along with parts of Latin America, Asia and Africa. Many American and Canadian Internet users can watch these matches live on ESPN3.com.

3. Direct your Internet browser to Free-Football.tv. If ESPN is not broadcasting the game, you need to get more creative. Free-Football.tv is one of the many online sites dedicated to bringing users free football matches from around the world.

4. Click on the Free-Football.tv tab labeled "France," and the matches that are available are displayed.

5. Select the match you would like to watch.
