Foundation
-
1
Moisturize your skin and allow it to dry. This makes the foundation application smoother and easier.
-
2
Apply a foundation with a damp sponge to your face and neck. Choose a foundation that is a couple of shades lighter than what you usually use to give you a paler look. Apply the foundation to the neck and decolletage as well, especially if you will be wearing an outfit with a low cut or plunging neckline.

3
Apply a translucent face powder, the same shade as the foundation, using a large brush. Then apply a bit of plum-colored blush, which will add depth to your cheeks, but not enough to give you a healthy glow.
Eyes
-
4
Apply eye shadow to the entire eye area, extending up to the brow line. Don't overdo the black here, choose a pink, lilac, or even red or gray color.
-
5
Apply a liquid eyeliner in black or purple. Apply a fine line underneath the lower lashes and a heavier, thicker line on the top lid. Flick the eyeliner out at the corner of the eye to create a cat eye effect. Also apply a kohl liner to the inner eye for extra depth and shadow.
-
6
Apply layers of eyeshadow to the crease of the eye, blending darker shades over the existing eyeshadow base coat. Repeat this process underneath the eye, blending the color downward. Your eyes should be darkest in the center, getting gradually lighter. Finish the smokey eye look with lashings of black mascara. You can even curl your eyelashes first, to make them appear even longer.
-
7
Brush your eyebrows upward and outward. Apply a dark eyebrow pencil to define the brows.
Lips
-
8
Apply a black lip liner to the outside corners of the lips. Smudge this toward, but not reaching, the center of the lips.
-
9
Apply a red lipstick to the center of the lips. Choose a gloss lipstick to create that wet, bloody look.
-
10
Apply a wet-finish lip gloss to the center of the bottom lip, and blend with a lip brush. Leaving the dark corners of the lips untouched, outline the middle of the lips with this gloss.
