How to Activate a Nextel I560 on the Sprint Network
The Motorola i560 is a rugged clam shell iDen phone offered by Nextel. The device comes with push-to-talk capabilities, a speakerphone and an external display. Since Sprint and Nextel merged companies, you can activate a Nextel i560 phone on the Sprint network without having to unlock the device with an unlock code. A Sprint representative can setup an account for you.

Contact Sprint at 888-211-4727 or visit a Sprint store and speak with a representative.

Tell the representative of your intent to establish an account and activate a Nextel phone.

Tell the representative the information requested of you, such as your name, billing address, Social Security number and/or state-issued ID card or driver's license.

Power off your Motorola i560 phone and remove the battery compartment door.

Remove the battery and locate the electronic serial number (ESN) on a label inside the battery compartment.

Tell the representative the ESN number. Wait for him to finish setting up your account.

Tell the representative your credit card or payment information to pay for any charges associated with activating your Nextel phone and setting up your account (if applicable).

Reinsert the battery and snap the battery compartment door back into the device. Follow the prompts provided by the representative to activate your phone.
