How to Copy a JPEG to DVD
Windows 7 makes it incredibly easy to copy your JPEG images to DVD. This is great for backup purposes, but it may also allow you to view your images in your standard DVD player. Most modern DVD players have no trouble with homemade DVDs and even have a built-in slide-show program for continuous viewing. Using the correct disk and finalizing it properly will ensure maximum compatibility.

1
Insert a blank DVD+R or DVD-R disk into your drive. Although you can also use rewritable DVDs, such as DVD+RW or DVD-RW, some DVD players have problems playing them. To maximize compatibility, do not use rewritable DVDs.
-
2
Open Windows Explorer by pressing the Windows key and E simultaneously.
-
-
3
Navigate to the folder containing your JPEG images and select the images you want copied. To copy several, you can hold the Ctrl key and click multiple files.
-
4
Right-click any selected file, choose "Sent to..." and select your DVD or DVD RW drive. Choose a title for the disk in the resulting pop-up window, and select "With a CD/DVD player." The files will begin copying to a temporary location. When completed, another Windows Explorer window will open up with the DVD drive selected.
-
5
Click "Burn to Disk." Windows will then proceed to burn the images to disk. When completed, you should still see the Windows Explorer windows, highlighting the DVD drive. If not, open Windows Explorer and click on the drive.
-
6
Click "Close session" at the top menu bar of Windows Explorer to close the session and finalize the disk. This will maximize the compatibility of the burned disk.
