How to Do Call Waiting on the LG Chocolate Phone thumbnail
The LG Chocolate phone has a sliding keypad.

The LG Chocolate line of cell phones include a music player, voice mail and picture and text messaging with mobile calling functions. The LG Chocolate is a compact device that features a large LCD screen and "touch command" keys. The screen displays messages and status icons and the touch command keys provide a central panel to control music playback and answer calls. A basic keypad slides out for dialing and accessing messages and the address book. If the keypad is closed, you have to press a side button to activate functions such as call waiting.

Instructions

    • 1

Listen for the beep during a call that indicates a second call is coming through. Alert the current caller that you will be putting them on hold to answer call waiting.

    • 2

Press the "Voice Command" button on the side of the phone to activate the touch command keys if the sliding keyboard is closed. (If the sliding keyboard is open, the touch commands are still enabled.)

    • 3

Press the "Send" button to answer the second call and automatically place the first call on hold. Speak with the second caller.

    • 4

Press the "Voice Command" button and then press the "Send" button to switch between the two active calls. Since the LG Chocolate phone does not have the capability of connecting a three-way or bridged call, pressing the activated "Send" button serves to toggle between two conversations.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are switching between two calls, when one caller disconnects, you will automatically switch to the remaining call, so there is no need to press the "Voice Command" and "Send" buttons.

  • If you use a Bluetooth headset you can bypass the touch commands on your phone. Put your current call on hold to answer an incoming call by simply pressing the main button on your Bluetooth headset once.
