How to Remove Leaf Stains on a Concrete Driveway

Leaves can stain concrete over time.

If your driveway is anywhere near a tree, you may have the problem of leaf stains on your concrete. As the leaves that have fallen decompose, they release organic compounds that stain substances such as concrete. Luckily, these stains don't have to be permanent. You can remove stains from leaves on your concrete driveway if you use the right products and cleaning techniques.

Things You'll Need

• Water hose
• Scrub brush
• Oxygenated cleaner
• Pressure washer

Instructions

1. Spray the driveway with water using a water hose.

2. Cover the stained areas with a powdered oxygenated cleaner and let it sit for about 15 minutes.

3. Scrub the stained parts of the driveway with a scrub brush. Use a brush that has a long handle and stiff, nylon bristles. Scrub in a circular motion.

4. Rinse off the driveway thoroughly. Use a pressure washer to do this if you have access to one.
