How to Plan a Virtual Wedding for Free Online
When you are hosting a destination wedding or simply have guests that cannot make it to your wedding ceremony, planning a virtual wedding for free online may be the way to go. A virtual wedding allows you to broadcast your wedding with streaming video online, so that no matter where your guests sit, as long as they have Internet access, they can watch your wedding ceremony unfold live. Virtual weddings can save you money on your wedding and is also a way to "green" your wedding because it cuts down on travel for your guests.
Instructions
-
-
1
Identify a streaming video website. Several websites allow you to stream live for free, such as Ustream TV, Justin TV and Live Stream.
-
2
Register for an account. You will need to provide your personal information such as your name and email address to establish an account. When you open an account, the account provider provides you with a personal website address and/or log in information for your wedding guests to access the live video stream on the date and time of your wedding.
-
-
3
Create an email invitation with the streaming video log in information for your virtual wedding. Remind your virtual wedding guests of the date and time of the wedding, along with providing them instructions on how to log in so that they can watch the wedding live, as if they are sitting at the ceremony.
-
4
Set up and test your webcam. Go to the location of your wedding, if possible, and set up the webcam as it will be setup on the day of your wedding. Turn the webcam on and make adjustments to the location of the webcam or the height the webcam sits so it clearly shows your walk down the aisle and the location where you will be standing to say your vows.
-
5
Ask someone to operate the webcam on the day of the wedding. You can ask a wedding guest or a staff member of the ceremony venue to turn the webcam on and off before and after the ceremony.
-
6
Setup the webcam on the day of the wedding. Place the webcam operator at the webcam to turn it on right before the ceremony begins and right after the ceremony ends.

Tips & Warnings
Some webcams also record a video while streaming live, which means you will have a virtual wedding for the live attendees at different locations and also have a video to share with those who could not attend live at a later time.
