How to Use Knifty Knitter Looms
A knitting loom is a less complicated way to knit compared to using the traditional knitting needles. One of the many brands of knitting looms is the Knifty Knitter. The plastic ring comes in many sizes are are especially good for beginning knitters. A variety of patterns are available for the loom to make hats, blankets, scarves and even mittens. Knitting with the loom is simple: you wrap yarn around the pegs in the loom to create the stitches.

1
Wrap the loom with yarn. One of the easiest ways to do this is to start with an "ewrap." Tie a slipknot on one end of the yarn, securing it to the anchor peg of the loom.
-
2
Pull the yarn around the peg, wrapping it toward the side closest to you. The letter "e" will cross the middle of the loom, while the top of the letter will be toward the outside.

3
Wrap the yarn until all of the pegs are covered. The number of pegs that are wrapped depends on personal preference. Be careful not to wrap too tightly or it will become difficult to knit.
-
4
Wrap each peg with the yarn a second time if doing a wrapped stitch such as a one-over-one or one-over-two. The pegs do not have to be wrapped a second time for no-wrap stitches.
-
5
Knit-off the loom by moving the bottom loop on the peg over the top loop for a one-over-one stitch. This can be done with a yarn hook. Continue following a pattern book for the pattern using the one-over-one stitch.
-
6
Wrap the loop again when the first row is completed, knit off using the same one-over-one stitch technique.

Tips & Warnings
One-over-two stitches are created by completing the ewrap on the loom three times. Move the bottom loop over both of the loops above it to create the stitch.
Two-over-two stitches are made by wrapping the loom pegs four times. Move the bottom loops over the top loops to form the stitch.
