How to Make an Angel Costume Interesting
Dressing up as an angel is a common Halloween costume for women and girls of all ages. Traditionally, a white dress is worn in conjunction with a pair of wings and a halo. Make your angel Halloween costume stand out from the pack by adding a few one-of-a-kind touches to your outfit. There are several inexpensive ways that this transformation can occur on a homemade or store-bought angel outfit, all of which can be performed by crafters of any skill level.

Cover the angel wings with a coat of dye. Feathers can be dyed with acid dye or fabric dye. Choose a single color for the wings or add several different colors if the wings are being made at home.

Wear wild, bright accessories to contrast with the white angel costume. These could include bright hoop earrings, a pair of brightly colored tights, neon elbow length gloves and a pair of brightly colored sneakers.

Create a zombie angel costume by cutting the white angel costume and covering it with dirt and blood. Pull out several of the feathers from the wings and cover the remainder in fake blood. Give the wearer a pair of ripped dirt tights and a fake human body part for accessories. Finish off the look with zombie makeup and fake blood splattered on your skin.

Wear the white angel dress but add devil accessories. Add a pair of devil horns, red wings, a pitchfork and red gloves to the costume. Finish off the look with devil makeup on one side of the person's face and angel makeup on the other.
