How to Make Your Own Wrapping Paper and Cards
One way to make a gift more special is to wrap it in homemade wrapping paper and attach a handmade card to it. Make handmade wrapping paper and cards at home with a few basic craft supplies from an art supply store.
Things You'll Need
- Craft paper
- Acrylic paint
- Sponges
- Scissors
- Construction paper
- Glitter glue
- Paint pens
- Glitter
- Card envelope

Place a sheet of craft paper onto a table or counter top.

Cut flat kitchen sponges with the scissors into whimsical shapes, such as hearts, stars and moons.

Pour acrylic paint into a bowl.

Dip one side of the sponge into the paint, and use it to stamp the paint onto the craft paper. Stamp the sponge every 2 inches. Allow the paint to dry completely before wrapping your gifts with the handmade wrapping paper.

Make a card. Fold a piece of 8-inch by 10-inch construction paper in half width wise. Press the fold to make it flat.

Write a message onto the front of the card using paint pens.

Sprinkle glitter over the wet paint, then allow it to dry.

Shake off the excess glitter.

Draw designs, such as spirals or swirls, around the edges of the card using glitter glue.

Allow the glue to dry completely before placing it into an envelope.
