How to Cut Rice Krispie Squares
Easy to make, easy to serve and fun to eat, Rice Krispie treats delight most people with a sweet tooth. Preparing Rice Krispie treats is almost as much fun as eating them. If you pack the treats together well when placing them in the pan, they are sturdy enough to lend themselves to be cut into various shapes for holidays or just for fun. Does this Spark an idea?

Make a cut in the length of the Rice Krispie treats every 2 inches. Cut all the way across to the opposite side.

Make 2-inch cuts in the diagonal side of the Rice Krispie treats. Cut all the way to the opposite side. You now have 2-inch square pieces.

Remove the pieces from the pan, if desired, and place on a cake plate or in a plastic container with a lid.

Find a cookie cutter in the shape you want. Trees are good for Christmas, and you can use bunnies for Easter treats. If the occasion is a birthday celebration, another idea is to use a cookie cutter in the shape of a cupcake or ice cream cone.

Spray nonstick spray onto the end of the cookie cutter that will be pressed down.

Press the cookie cutter into the Rice Krispie treats, and lift the shapes out. There will be some extra small pieces left between the shapes, those can be removed and placed into containers for a quick treat.

Tips & Warnings
If you're creative, the Rice Krispie treats can be cut with a knife into any shape you desire.
Place small red and green candies on Christmas trees.
Rice Krispie treats can also be frosted with cookie frosting or sprinkles.
Cover the treats or they will dry out.
