Worms Reloaded, by Team 17, is a solid continuation of the Worms franchise. There are important pieces of information needed to play Worms Reloaded effectively, such the scoop on the new weapons, modes, levels and strategies required for success. Different conditions in the game call for divergent tactics, and new rules can make some of the strategies that were useful in older Worms-series games obsolete.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a copy of "Worms Reloaded." First, download the software "Steam," which is a software used to distribute games online and fight software piracy, by clicking the "Install Steam" button on the Steam website (see Resoures). Steam then allows you to download Worms directly to your computer. Worms Reloaded, as of December 2010, retails for around $20 (see Resources).

    • 2

Wait for the download to finish. The computer then automatically installs the game via the install wizard. You may then play Worms Reloaded any time by double-clicking the icon on your desktop or selecting it in your programs menu.

    • 3

Launch a quick game against the computer by selecting "Quick Battle." This allows you to fight against a CPU with average intelligence using standard weapons.

    • 4

Create a custom battle by selecting teams, weapon sets and terrain in "Custom Battle." To make the battle more difficult, limit the more powerful weapons and the rope/jetpack utilities because the computer has a hard time using them. To increase the challenge even further, play the game with one human team against two or thee allied computer teams.

    • 5

Select "Warzone" for a series of 31 increasingly challenging matchups against the computer. Unlike the "ranking" system in Worms World Party, Warzone does not penalize players if they lose a match.

    • 6

Select "Body Count" to see how many neverending worms you can kill before dying. Extra points are awarded for multiple kills.

    • 7

Select "Multi-player" to play Worms Reloaded against other people on different computers. You can select by game verses selecting specific people on a network or online.

    • 8

Select "Customize" to create your own terrain, teams and weapon sets. Creating sets with lots of crate drops will hurt the AI, because it doesn't do a good job of collecting them. It also refuses to use "fancy" weapons like ferrets, termites, worship, steal and gas pump.

Tips & Warnings

  • Customize your Worms teams, including hats accents HUDs explosion types and AI personality, if you wish.

  • You also have the ability to create custom maps.

  • During different seasons, special Worms Reloaded holiday hats are available.

  • Don't attempt to launch multiple copies of the program when you want to play Worms Reloaded, as this may cause them all to crash.
