      Sprinkle cornstarch over the stain until it is completely coated.

      Brush the cornstarch into the stain with a clean and dry toothbrush. Wipe the cornstarch off the clothes.

      Boil 1 cup of water if the stain is still visible and if water will not damage the clothes. Thus, you can do this to clean sweaters, but not silk or suede.

      Dip the stained area in the boiling water for a few minutes. The water will lift away some stains.
