How to Remove Coffee Stains From a Percolator
Coffee percolators provide a somewhat old-fashioned way to make coffee. Unlike most modern coffee makers, the water in a percolator continually flows through the coffee grounds. A percolator must be monitored closely to ensure the coffee is neither too weak or strong. One trait that percolators have in common with other coffee-making devices is the susceptibility to coffee stains. While coffee stains can be notoriously difficult to remove from most surfaces, removing stains from a percolator requires little work. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Rinse out the percolator to remove any residual coffee grounds.
-
2
Add the amount of water typically used in your percolator and 3 tbsp of baking soda.
-
-
3
Turn on the percolator and let it run through one complete cycle. The hot water and baking soda will naturally eat away at the stain. Turn off the percolator and let the water cool down for at least 10 minutes.
-
4
Scrub the inside of the percolator with a soft sponge until stains are removed. Do not use metal scrubbers or abrasives as they may damage the surface of the percolator.
-
5
Remove the water from the percolator and then rinse with clean, cool water.
-
6
Repeat the process a second time for stubborn stains.
