How to Freeze Chicken Broth
Chicken broth will keep for up to a year in the freezer. If you have a lot of leftover chicken broth, you can freeze it for later use. There are many practical uses for chicken broth; you can save money by freezing your own to use in a variety of recipes. Freeze small amounts of broth. To save measured (approximately 2 tbsp.) amounts of broth, pour broth into ice cube trays and freeze for at least three hours.

Store the small cubes. Pile the frozen cubes into re-sealable freezer bags so they are quickly available for cooking.

Freeze large amounts of broth. Measure approximately two cups of broth and pour it into a re-sealable freezer bag. Lay multiple bags on a cookie sheet, but do not stack them. Place them in the freezer for at least three hours.

Store large amounts of broth. Stack the flat bags in your freezer to save room.

Use the frozen broth. To use the small broth cubes, drop them into a warm pot on the stove. To use a frozen bag of broth, allow it to thaw on the counter, then pour the broth out of the bag.
