Instructions

      Pour the cooled soup into plastic cups in portion-sized amounts. Place the cups in the freezer.

      Take the frozen soup out of the cups and place them in a freezer bag. This allows for more space in your freezer and allows for long term preservation.

      Place the frozen soup in a microwave safe bowl and heat it up when you are ready to eat it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Miso has a tendency of separating from water when it cools. Make sure to stir the miso soup while you heat up the frozen leftovers.

  • A home freezer takes some time to freeze contents. If you are freezing miso soup with vegetables or tofu, crystals will rip through the cellular structure when the ice forms. This will change the consistency of the contents but not the taste.
