How to Record From a Website to a CD
Recording from a website to a CD is a way to archive data from a website. You can record from a website to a CD by burning a recordable CD as a data disc, which can store up to 700 megabytes of data from a website onto the CD.

Mac Platform

Click the "Finder," select "File" and click "New Burn Folder" to create a new burn folder.

Type in a name for the burn folder, such as "Website Archive."

Click on and drag the items you want to record from the website into the burn folder.

Click the "Burn" button inside of the folder and insert a blank CD-R disc into your computer to initiate the CD burning process.

Eject the CD from your computer when the burning process is complete.
PC Platform

Insert a blank CD-R into your computer and select "Burn Files to Data Disc" from the prompt that appears on your computer screen.

Type in a name for the CD, such as "Website Archive."

Click on the "Show Formatting Options" link.

Click on and select the "Mastered" formatting option and click "Next."

Click on and drag the items you would like to record from the website into the folder that appears.

Click on the "Burn to Disc" button inside of the folder to initiate the CD burning process.

Eject the CD from your computer when the burning process is complete.
