How to Remove Hidden Spy Cameras on PCs

How to Remove Hidden Spy Cameras on PCs thumbnail
You can remove security camera information from your computer system.

Hidden spy cameras are used to record content secretly. Typically, these cameras monitor stores and homes and are installed in room corners. However, some spy cameras are small enough to fit on to a pen or pair of sunglasses. Regardless of what kind of spy camera you have, a driver for the camera must be installed on your computer in order for the system to properly run the hardware. If you no longer need to use the camera, you can delete and remove the hidden spy camera driver and hardware information from the computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Click "Start," "Control Panel," and wait for the Control Panel to load on the screen.

    • 2

Select the "System and Maintenance" option icon in the open window, then choose "Device Manager." This loads a new window with all the drivers currently installed on the computer.

    • 3

Scroll through the list of drivers until you find the spy camera listing. Right-click the driver and choose "Delete."

    • 4

Click "Yes" when asked if you are sure and the driver and hardware information for the spy camera is removed from the PC.
