How to Make Shower Curtain Rings Using Twine

Replace shower curtain rings easily and cheaply with twine.

Putting up a shower curtain isn't difficult unless you don't have the needed materials to do so, such as curtain rings. Make shower curtain rings with twine, eliminating the expense of purchasing new ones. Because it's an easy endeavor to complete with minimal materials, making shower curtain rings using twine allows you to be frugal and provides a neutral decor element.

Things You'll Need

• Roll of twine
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
• Shower curtain

Instructions

1. Snip three lengths of twine from the roll measuring 7 inches each. Match up the ends of the three lengths of twine and tie them together into a knot at one end.

2. Braid the three lengths of twine tightly, and tie the end of the braid into a knot. This leaves you with a braided length of twine measuring between 5 and 6 inches long.

3. Slide one end of the braided twine through one of the ring openings of the shower curtain. Tie the ends of the twine together once it slides through the hole to create a shower curtain ring.

4. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 to create as many rings as you need.
