1
Select a simple white dress to use for your Christmas angel costume. The dress can be either long-sleeved or sleeveless, depending on your preference or what's available. A simple flowing dress with no embellishments is preferable.
-
2
Warm up your glue gun so that you can embellish your dress with the gold ribbon. Glue on a band of gold ribbon along the hem of the dress. You can also add a band of gold ribbon on other areas of the dress, such as around the neckline, at the waistline or on the ends of the sleeves.

3
Cut wing shapes out of cardboard or craft foam. Make sure they are proportional to the body of whomever will be wearing the Christmas angel costume. Paint the wings gold with craft paint. Squeeze a line of glue along the edge of the wings and scatter gold glitter onto the glue. When the glue dries, shake the excess glitter off of the wings. You could also use glitter glue. Staple the wings together in the center so that they will be stable when they are worn.
-
4
Cut two pieces of elastic. An 8-inch strip of elastic will work for children, while adults may need 10 inches to 15 inches. Staple one piece of elastic onto the undecorated side of each wing. These elastic bands will fit over the arms of the person wearing the Christmas angel costume.

5
Use a gold wire garland to create a halo. Wind the garland around into a circle shape and place it on the head of the person who will wear the Christmas angel costume.
