How to Load Quick Keys on Viewsat Ultra Using a USB

All free-to-air (FTA) satellite receivers must stay up to date to receive the latest programming information. To do this you must use the USB connection provided on the receiver. This holds true for the Viewsat Ultra. With the help of a standard USB data cable, you can load up quick keys onto the receiver to ensure you receive the latest television stations.

Instructions

1. Open your Internet browser and navigate over to the FTA website you purchased the Viewsat Ultra from. The exact coding for the receiver is going to vary, depending on where you purchased the device from, so make sure you only obtain the quick keys from this specific site.

2. Choose the Viewsat Ultra as your default satellite receiver, then click the quick keys file download.

3. Right-click the downloaded file and choose "Extract." The contents download to the computer as a zipped file, which the satellite receiver is unable to read.

4. Click "Next" when the extraction window loads onto the screen, then choose the location to save the files to. Click "OK" and the files extract from the zipped format.

5. Plug the USB data cable into the USB port on the rear of the Viewsat Ultra receiver, then attach the other end to a USB port on the computer. Power on the receiver and the computer states it has detected the new device. Click and drag the downloaded and extracted quick keys to the open window to upload the files to the satellite receiver.
