How to Make a Lure Out of a Beer Cap
Beer cap fishing lures, which are economical and easy to make at home, are a common addition to a fisher's tackle box. The flashing and spinning bottle caps attract many kinds of fish, including bass, bluegill, catfish, cod, salmon and trout. A lure can be made with any brand of bottle cap. The design of these homemade lures is simple, but more advanced lure makers can add extra swivels and feathers to improve the lure.

Tips & Warnings
You can use fly-tying material to tie feathers to the hook end of the lure.
A swivel can be tied to the fishing line end of the lure so it spins more freely in the water.
Wear eye protection when drilling holes in the bottle cap.
