How to Wrap Homemade Bread
One of my fondest holiday memories has to do with the wonderful nut bread that my Hungarian grandmother made every year for Christmas. She only made the bread during the holiday season, so it was always a very special treat. One of my Christmas traditions as an adult is to make Grandma's bread, wrap it and give it as a gift to my family and friends. The gift is made even more special when my children help decorate the wrapping paper with rubber stamps and colorful ink. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Cut a piece of brown parcel paper approximately three times the size of your bread loaf.

2
Choose your favorite rubber stamp and ink pad. Tap the stamp on the ink pad until the image is covered. Place the stamp on the parcel paper, and apply even, firm pressure. Lift the stamp, and repeat the process until you have your desired design.

3
Wrap your loaf of bread in plastic wrap, making sure to overlap the edges. Place the wrapped loaf seam side down on top of a piece of aluminum foil, and wrap again. Fold the edges of the foil securely against the bread.
-
4
Place the double-wrapped loaf of bread top down on the unstamped side of the parcel paper. Bring the edges of the paper together lengthwise, and fold them together several times until they rest on top of the bread. Fold each edge of the wrapping paper on the sides of the loaf toward the middle (as if you were wrapping a present), then fold the side pieces to the top of the loaf, and secure them with tape.
-
5
Turn the bread over, and lay your ribbon on top lengthwise. Wrap the ribbon around the bread, cross it on the bottom, and bring it back to the top of the loaf width-wise. Tie the ribbon in a bow.
