BusinessObjects XI 3.1 uses Business Intelligence technology as a solution for bringing all of your central information and data together on a central platform. BusinessObjects XI 3.1 is developed by the SAP company, Business Objects and can be incorporated with Microsoft Office products. Before installing LiveOffice BusinessOjects or any of the client tools, the BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 and a Microsoft Office product have to be installed and working correctly on a Windows-based server.

      Put your Business Objexts XI 3.1 disk in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive on your computer. If the setup.exe file doesn't start automatically, navigate to the disk folder on your server or computer and double-click on the "setup.exe" file to start the installation wizard.

      Select the language you want to install the program in and click "Next." Keep clicking "Next" to process through the installation wizard with the settings that you prefer. Wait while the installation wizard install the BusinessObjects. Click "Finish" when you are done. Restart the computer or server to save the changes.

      Activate the server component. Click on "Start" and then "All Programs." Scroll down until you see "BusinessObjects Enterprise." Click on it and then click on "BusinessObjects Enterprise Central Management Console." Click on "License Keys" in the "CMC Home" heading on the "Central Management Console" window. Enter the license key that came along with your BusinessObjects Xi 3.1 disk in the "Add Key" field. Click "Add."

      Install the Live Office client if you want to use BusinessObjects with Microsoft Office. Remove the BusinessObjects disc from your computer and replace it with BusinessObjects Live Office XI 3.1. The "Live Office Installation Wizard" starts. Choose a preferred language and then click "Install." Use the onscreen instructions and click "Next" to process through the installation wizard. Click "Finish" at the end of the installation. You may be required to restart your computer after installing Live Office.
