How to Remove White Specks on My Car

White specks can harm your vehicle.

White specks on your car's paint are caused when water is deposited on the vehicle from an outside source such as a sprinkler, and is left in the sun to dry. The minerals in the water get baked into the paint and cause the white specks that can damage your paint job. Removing these white specks is an easy job, and should be done immediately after noticing them to prevent any further damage to the vehicle.

Things You'll Need

• Empty bottle
• Water
• Vinegar
• 2 clean cloths
• Car shampoo

Instructions

1. Fill the empty bottle halfway to the top with water. Fill it the rest of the way with vinegar so that it is a 50/50 solution.

2. Apply a small amount of the water/vinegar solution to a clean cloth.

3. Rub the cloth over the white specks on the car for one minute, or until they disappear.

4. Wash the area with clean water and car shampoo. Rinse it, and dry the area with a clean cloth.

5. Apply a coat of wax to the paint to prevent white specks in the future.
