How to Make a Stork Craft
Whether it's a fun sign to make for an expecting couple or an educational craft to teach children about birds, a paper stork is an easy and informative way to while away an afternoon. This kid-friendly project involves materials typically found around your house such as markers, crayons, paper plates and construction paper.
Things You'll Need

Instructions

1
Plug in your glue gun (with a glue stick already inserted) into your power outlet. Allow the glue to warm up for about a minute or two.
-
2
Place two paper plates on your work surface. Fold them in half.
-
-
3
Draw your hand on a third and forth paper plate using a pencil or crayon. Cut out the hands using your scissors.
-
4
Squeeze a few dots of glue onto the hand, turn the hand sideways so that the fingers point to the left and the rounded part of the hand points to the right. Secure the hand to the middle of one of the folded paper plates that is laying horizontally on your workspace. Glue feathers on top of the hand. Repeat this on the second folded paper plate, but make sure you glue the hand in the opposite direction. This is so that the "wings" will go in the same direction once you have assembled your stork.

5
Draw a thick golf club on a piece of white poster paper. Cut it out. This is your stork head and neck.
-
6
Draw two slim, long triangles on orange construction paper and cut them out. This is your stork's bill.
-
7
Form legs for your stork out of pipe cleaners.
-
8
Glue the two folded paper plates together. Glue on the stork neck head, the bills and the pipe cleaner legs. Finally, glue a googly eye to the stork's face.
