To keep the pot clean and smelling fresh, deodorize the pot to remove the smell without the use of chemical ingredients that could contaminate your next pot of brewed coffee. Things You'll Need

  • Water
  • Dish soap
  • Cleaning rags
  • White vinegar

Instructions

      Fill the sink with approximately 1 gallon of water and 2 tbsp. of dish soap.

      Dip a cleaning rag into the soapy water and scrub down your coffee pot, inside and out. Rinse the pot after cleaning.

      Run a full pot of white vinegar through the brewing cycle. This will not only deodorize the coffee pot but the brewing unit itself.

    • 4

      Run three fresh pots of plain water through the unit to get rid of any vinegar residue.
