Use a USB drive to transfer files to your receiver.

CaptiveWorks FTA receivers enable you to watch FTA, or free-to-air, satellite programming that is distributed without encryption. The receiver relies on software updates to keep it in touch with the necessary satellites. CaptiveWorks receivers feature USB ports to allow you to transfer new FTA files quickly.

Instructions

      Insert the USB drive into your computer's USB port.

      Click "Start" and click the "Computer" option in the list. Double-click the "USB Drive" entry to open a folder for the USB drive.

      Drag the FTA files from their location on your computer to the flash drive. Wait for them to be completely copied to the drive before ejecting it from your computer.

      Plug the drive into one of the USB ports on the CaptiveWorks receiver.

    • 5

      Turn on the receiver and press "Menu" on the receiver's remote. Highlight the "Update" option and press "OK." Select the "Install" entry and press "OK" again.

      Highlight the "External" entry and press "OK." Select the new FTA files in the list that appears and press "OK" to upload them to the CaptiveWorks receiver.
