How to Apply Blush to a Wedding Veil

How to Apply Blush to a Wedding Veil thumbnail
Wedding veils can have blush added to them for a subtle effect.

A small and elegant touch in a bride's ensemble is a touch of blush on the wedding veil. The bride can find a tinted wedding veil in a blush color, but perhaps she wants the effect of blushing without wearing a blush pink veil that does not work with the dress. She can achieve the effect in a more subtle way, while keeping the white veil, with touches of blush on the veil itself. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Turn down the blusher, which is the part of the veil which covers the bride's face. Always apply the blush after the veil is on the bride to apply it according to the bride's face.

    • 2

Touch the brush to the blush, and add a small amount of blush to the brush. Always start with a small amount of blush to prevent adding too much to the veil; it is easier to add blush if needed, than to remove it. Gently tap or lightly blow on the blush brush to remove extra blush.

    • 3

Find the bride's cheek bones (sometimes called the apples of the cheeks), and add the blush to the veil in careful, upward motions. Apply the blush to the veil lightly to create a blushing bride effect.

Tips & Warnings

  • Practice first on a piece of scrap material, or an inexpensive veil (like the novelty kind used at bachelorette parties).
