How to Get a Koi on Neopets

In a few simple steps, you can obtain Koi for your Neopets computer game.

In the online game "Neopets," there are many varieties of pets that can be obtained. One aquatic species, specific to the Maraqua domain, is the Koi. These Neopets can appear in red, yellow, green and blue, and can be in any of the following varieties: baby, brown, checkered, Christmas, cloud, Darigan, disco, electric, faerie, fire, ghost, gray, Halloween, ice, invisible, island, jelly, magma, mutant, orange, pink, pirate, plushie, purple, rainbow, robot, royal, shadow, skunk, snot, split, sponge, spotted, starry, strawberry, striped, Tyrannian and white. There are several ways to obtain Koi.

Instructions

Morphing Potions

1. Earn Neopet currency so you can purchase a morphing potion. The cheapest potion costs 19,000 NP, while the most costly is 300 million NP. The cost will depend on the Neopet that you wish to transform into a Koi.

2. Purchase a morphing potion, which can be used to change the color and species of any existing Neopet. Your morphing-potion options are Baby Koi, Blue Koi, Checkered Koi, Christmas Koi, Green Koi, Island Koi, Orange Koi, Pink Koi, Rainbow Koi, Red Koi, Spotted Koi, Starry Koi and Yellow Koi.

3. Select "Give" to transfer the potion to the Neopet. Do not simply feed the potion to the Neopet, or the desired change will not take effect and you will lose the potion.

4. Choose the species that you would like your Neopet to morph into, which is the Koi. Your Neopet will change immediately.

Transmogrification Potions

1. Earn at least 20,000 in Neopet currency.

2. Go to the Trading Post or to the Auction.

3. Purchase the Koi Transmogrification Potion.

4. Give the Koi Transmogrification Potion to your Neopet. Again, do not feed the potion to your Neopet or there will be no effect. Your Neopet will instantly morph into a Koi. But beware: It will also be a mutant.

Magical Plushies

1. Earn at least 1600 in Neopet currency.

2. Choose the type of Koi that you would like: green, blue, red or yellow.

3. Purchase a Magical Plushie, which allows your Neopet to transform into the type of Plushie used after playing with it and then disappears. Your Koi Plushie options are Magical Green, Magical Blue, Magical Red and Magical Yellow.

4. Place the Magical Plushie near your Neopet.

5. Command your Neopet to play with the Magical Plushie. Your Neopet will immediately transform into a Koi, and the Plushie will vanish.

Tips & Warnings

• The snot and sponge varieties of Koi are available only via the lab ray or completion of the Fountain Faerie quest.
