Memory cards can be accessed with a computer using a memory card reader or a memory card adapter.

The DCR-SX41 is a handheld video camera created by Sony. It has a screen which opens out at the side, used for recording since there is no viewfinder. The device features 8GB of internal memory but as video files tend to be quite large, this can fill up quickly. You can set your default save destination as the memory card to alleviate the problem. It allows you to easily copy the files to computer and clear the memory card each time it gets full.

Instructions

    • 1

Flip the side screen open to reveal the memory card cover.

    • 2

Open the cover, insert the card into the slot, then close the cover to protect it.

    • 3

Press the power button to switch on the camera.

    • 4

Touch the home icon, select "Manage Media," and select "Photo Media Set." Select "Memory Stick pro DUO" to select the memory card as the default save directory. Select "Movie Media Set" and select the same settings.
