Instructions

    • 1

Pour 1/2 cup baking soda down the drain. Baking soda is a natural odor absorber that will remove bad smells from your drain.

    • 2

Pour 1/2 gallon of distilled white vinegar down the drain slowly. The acidic vinegar will react with the alkaline baking soda to bubble and clean the drain. This process will remove the bad odor.

    • 3

Turn on the faucet and run it for several minutes to push the vinegar and baking soda through the pipes.

    • 4

Pour several drops of essential oils down the drain. Choose any scent that you wish. Essential oils are natural fragrances.

    • 5

Put an orange peel down the drain if you are cleaning a drain with a garbage disposal.

    • 6

Run the water and turn on the garbage disposal until the orange peel runs through it. The orange oils will naturally scent the disposal blades.
