How to Upload Pictures Onto a Mac
Uploading photos to a MacIntosh computer is simple, as most Macs are sold with the company's iPhoto software already installed. Once you know the application, you can also use iPhoto to edit, share and organize your pictures. You may upload photos directly from your digital camera or by removing the digital card from your camera and inserting it into a card reader connected to your computer.

Tips & Warnings
You may find that all your photos share the same date -- which organizes them in no particular order. If so, change the time and date stamp on the camera, not the computer. To import images from another location on your computer, simply go to iPhoto, click "File" in the toolbar and click "Import to Library."
It's important to back up data. You can buy an external hard drive that backs up the computer with the touch of a button. You may also save photos to a small flash drive or to a Web-based hard drive.
